- 1 cup jasmine rice
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- ½ cup teriyaki sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp ginger (grated)
- 1 tbsp honey (optional)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil (or vegetable oil)
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
- 1 spring onion (sliced, for garnish)
Instructions:
- Cook the rice: Rinse the jasmine rice and cook according to package instructions.
- Steam the broccoli: While the rice cooks, steam the broccoli for 3–4 minutes until tender but still vibrant.
- Prepare the chicken: Slice the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces.
- Cook the chicken: Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until golden brown (about 5–7 minutes).
- Add sauce: Lower the heat, add garlic, ginger, soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, and honey. Stir well and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened.
- Serve: Plate the rice, top with teriyaki chicken, and add steamed broccoli on the side. Garnish with sesame seeds and spring onions.
